When evening had come, and since it was the day of Preparation,
that is, the day before the sabbath, 43Joseph of Arimathea,
a respected member of the council, who was also himself
waiting expectantly for the kingdom of God, went boldly
to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 44Then Pilate
wondered if he were already dead; and summoning the
centurion, he asked him whether he had been dead for
some time. 45When he learned from the centurion that
he was dead, he granted the body to Joseph. 46Then Joseph*
bought a linen cloth, and taking down the body,* wrapped
it in the linen cloth, and laid it in a tomb that had
been hewn out of the rock. He then rolled a stone against
the door of the tomb. 47Mary Magdalene and Mary the
mother of Joses saw where the body* was laid.
42.到了晚上，因为这是豫备日，就是安息日的前一日， 43.有亚利马太的约瑟前来，他是尊贵的议士，也是等候神国的。他放胆进去见彼拉多，求耶稣的身礼。 44.彼拉多诧异耶稣已经死了。便叫百夫长来，问他耶稣死了久不久。 45.既从百夫长得知实情，就把耶稣的尸首赐给约瑟。 46.约瑟买了细麻布，把耶稣取下来，用细麻布裹好，安放在磐石凿出来的坟墓里。又辊过一个石头来挡住墓门。 47.抹大拉的马利亚，和约西的母亲马利亚。都看见安放他的地方。

When it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea,
named Joseph, who was also a disciple of Jesus. 58He
went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus; then
Pilate ordered it to be given to him. 59So Joseph took
the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth 60and
laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn in the
rock. He then rolled a great stone to the door of the
tomb and went away. 61Mary Magdalene and the other Mary
were there, sitting opposite the tomb.
62
The next day, that is, after the day of Preparation,
the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before
Pilate 63and said, ‘Sir, we remember what that impostor
said while he was still alive, “After three days I
will rise again.” 64Therefore command that the tomb
be made secure until the third day; otherwise his disciples
may go and steal him away, and tell the people, “He
has been raised from the dead”, and the last deception
would be worse than the first.’ 65Pilate said to them,
‘You have a guard* of soldiers; go, make it as secure
as you can.’* 66So they went with the guard and made
the tomb secure by sealing the stone.
57.到了晚上，有一个财主，名叫约瑟，是亚利马太来的。他也是耶稣的门徒。 58.这人去见彼拉多，求耶稣的身体。彼拉多就吩咐给他。
59.约瑟取了身体，用乾净细麻布裹好，
60.安放在自己的新坟墓里，就是他凿在盘石里的。他又把大石头辊到墓口，就去了。
61.有抹大拉的马利亚，和那个马利亚在那里，对着坟墓坐着。 62.次日，就是豫备日的第二天，祭司长和法利赛人聚集，来见彼拉多，说， 63.大人，我们记得那诱惑人的，还活着的时候，曾说，三日后我要复活。
64.因此，请吩咐人将坟墓把守妥当，直到第三日。恐怕他的门徒来把他偷了去，就告诉百姓说，他从死里复活了。这样，那后来的迷惑，比先前的更利害了。 65.彼拉多说，你们有看守的兵。去吧，尽你们所能的，把守妥当。 66.他们就带着看守的兵同去，封了石头，将坟墓把守妥当。 |

Now there was a good and righteous man named Joseph,
who, though a member of the council, 51had not agreed
to their plan and action. He came from the Jewish town
of Arimathea, and he was waiting expectantly for the
kingdom of God. 52This man went to Pilate and asked
for the body of Jesus. 53Then he took it down, wrapped
it in a linen cloth, and laid it in a rock-hewn tomb
where no one had ever been laid. 54It was the day of
Preparation, and the sabbath was beginning.* 55The women
who had come with him from Galilee followed, and they
saw the tomb and how his body was laid. 56Then they
returned, and prepared spices and ointments.
On
the sabbath they rested according to the commandment.
50.有一个人名叫约瑟，是个议士，为人善良公义。

38 After these things, Joseph of Arimathea, who
was a disciple of Jesus, though a secret one because
of his fear of the Jews, asked Pilate to let him take
away the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission;
so he came and removed his body. 39Nicodemus, who had
at first come to Jesus by night, also came, bringing
a mixture of myrrh and aloes, weighing about a hundred
pounds. 40They took the body of Jesus and wrapped it
with the spices in linen cloths, according to the burial
custom of the Jews. 41Now there was a garden in the
place where he was crucified, and in the garden there
was a new tomb in which no one had ever been laid. 42And
so, because it was the Jewish day of Preparation, and
the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.
38.这些事以后，有亚利马太人约瑟，是耶稣的门徒，只因怕犹太人，就暗暗的作门徒，他来求彼拉多，要把耶稣的身体领去。彼拉多允准，他就把耶稣的身体领去了。 39.又有尼哥底母，就是先前夜里去见耶稣的，带着没药，和沈香，约有一百斤前来。 40.他们就照犹太人殡葬的规矩，把耶稣的身体，用细麻布加上香料裹好了。
41.在耶稣钉十字架的地方，有一个园子。园子里有一座新坟墓，是从来没有葬过人的。
42.只因是犹太人的豫备日，又因那坟墓近，他们就把耶稣安放在那里。
