1 He
left that place and came to his home town, and his disciples
followed him. 2On the sabbath he began to teach in the
synagogue, and many who heard him were astounded. They
said, ‘Where did this man get all this? What is this
wisdom that has been given to him? What deeds of power
are being done by his hands! 3Is not this the carpenter,
the son of Mary* and brother of James and Joses and
Judas and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?’
And they took offence* at him. 4Then Jesus said to them,
‘Prophets are not without honour, except in their home
town, and among their own kin, and in their own house.’
5And he could do no deed of power there, except that
he laid his hands on a few sick people and cured them.
6And he was amazed at their unbelief.
1.耶稣离开那里，来到自己的家乡。门徒也跟从他。
2.他到了安息日，他在会堂里教训人。众人听见，就甚希奇，说，这人从那里有这些事呢，所赐给他的是什么智慧，他手所作的是何等的异能呢。
3.这不是那木匠麽。不是马利亚的儿子，雅各，约西，犹大，西门的长兄麽。他的妹妹们不也是在我们这里麽。他们就厌弃他。（厌弃他原文作因他跌倒）
4.耶稣对他们说，大凡先知，除了本地亲属本家之外，没有不被人尊敬的。 5.耶稣就在那里不得行什么异能，不过按手在几个病人身上，治好他们。
6.他也诧异他们不信，就往周围乡村教训人去了。 |

He came to his home town and began to teach the people*
in their synagogue, so that they were astounded and
said, ‘Where did this man get this wisdom and these
deeds of power? 55Is not this the carpenter’s son?
Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers
James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? 56And are not
all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get
all this?’ 57And they took offence at him. But Jesus
said to them, ‘Prophets are not without honour except
in their own country and in their own house.’ 58And
he did not do many deeds of power there, because of
their unbelief.
54.来到自己的家乡，在会堂里教训人，甚至他们都希奇说，这人从那里有这等智慧，和异能呢。
55.这不是木匠的儿子麽。他母亲不是叫马利亚麽。他弟兄们不是叫雅各，约西，（有古卷作约瑟），西门，犹大麽。
56.他妹妹们不是都在我们这里麽。这人从那里有这一切的事呢。
57.他们就厌弃他。（厌弃他原文作因他跌倒）耶稣对他们说，大凡先知，除了本地本家之外，没有不被人尊敬的。

When he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought
up, he went to the synagogue on the sabbath day, as
was his custom. He stood up to read, 17and the scroll
of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled
the scroll and found the place where it was written:
18 ‘The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because
he has anointed me to bring good news
to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the
captives and recovery of sight to
the blind, to let the oppressed
go free,
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s
favour.’
20And he rolled up the scroll, gave it
back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all
in the synagogue were fixed on him. 21Then he began
to say to them, ‘Today this scripture has been fulfilled
in your hearing.’ 22All spoke well of him and were
amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth.
They said, ‘Is not this Joseph’s son?’ 23He said
to them, ‘Doubtless you will quote to me this proverb,
“Doctor, cure yourself!” And you will say, “Do here
also in your home town the things that we have heard
you did at Capernaum.” ’ 24And he said, ‘Truly I
tell you, no prophet is accepted in the prophet’s home
town. 25But the truth is, there were many widows in
Israel in the time of Elijah, when the heaven was shut
up for three years and six months, and there was a severe
famine over all the land; 26yet Elijah was sent to none
of them except to a widow at Zarephath in Sidon. 27There
were also many lepers* in Israel in the time of the
prophet Elisha, and none of them was cleansed except
Naaman the Syrian.’ 28When they heard this, all in
the synagogue were filled with rage. 29They got up,
drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of
the hill on which their town was built, so that they
might hurl him off the cliff. 30But he passed through
the midst of them and went on his way.
16.耶稣来到拿撒勒，就是他长大的地方。在安息日，照他平常的规矩，进了会堂，站起来要念圣经。 17.有人把先知以赛亚的书交给他，他就打开，找到一处写着说， 18.主的灵在我身上，因为他用膏膏我，叫我传福音给贫穷的人。差遣我报告被掳的得释放，瞎眼的得看见，叫那受压制的得自由，
19.报告神悦纳人的禧年。 20.于是把书卷起来，交还执事，就坐下。会堂里的人都定睛看他。 21.耶稣对他们说，今天这经应验在你们耳中了。
22.众人都称赞他，并希奇他口中所出的恩言。又说，这不是约瑟的儿子麽。
23.耶稣对他们说，你们必引这俗语向我说，医生，你医治自己吧。我们听见你在迦百农所行的事，也当行在你自己家乡里。
24.又说，我实在告诉你们，没有先知在自己家乡被人悦纳的。
25.我对你们说实话，当以利亚的时候，天闭塞了三年零六个月，偏地有大饥荒，那时，以色列中有许多寡妇。
26.以利亚并没有奉差往他们一个人那里去，只奉差往西顿的撒勒法，一个寡妇那里去。 27.先知以利沙的时候，以色列中有许多长大麻疯的。但内中除了叙利亚国的乃缦，没有一个得洁净的。 28.会堂里的人听见这话，都怒气满胸。
29.就起来撵他出城，他们的城造在山上，他们带他到山崖，要把他推下去。
30.他却从他们中间直行，过去了。 |
