In the time of King Herod, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem
of Judea, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,
2 asking, ‘Where is the child who has been born
king of the Jews? For we observed his star at its rising,*
and have come to pay him homage.’3 When King Herod
heard this, he was frightened, and all Jerusalem with
him;
4 and calling together all the chief priests
and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where
the Messiah was to be born.
5 They told him, ‘In
Bethlehem of Judea; for so it has been written by the
prophet:
6 “And you, Bethlehem, in the land of
Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for from you shall come a ruler who is to shepherd*
my people Israel.” ’
7 Then Herod secretly called
for the wise men and learned from them the exact time
when the star had appeared.
8 Then he sent them
to Bethlehem, saying, ‘Go and search diligently for
the child; and when you have found him, bring me word
so that I may also go and pay him homage.’
9 When
they had heard the king, they set out; and there, ahead
of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising,*
until it stopped over the place where the child was.
10 When they saw that the star had stopped,* they
were overwhelmed with joy.
11 On entering the house,
they saw the child with Mary his mother; and they knelt
down and paid him homage. Then, opening their treasure-chests,
they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 And having been warned in a dream not to return
to Herod, they left for their own country by another
road.
馬太福音 2 章 1 當希律王的時候、耶穌生在猶太的伯利恆．有幾個博士從東方來到耶路撒冷、說、2 那生下來作猶太人之王的在那裡。我們在東方看見他的星、特來拜他。
3 希律王聽見了、就心裡不安．耶路撒冷合城的人、也都不安。
4 他就召齊了祭司長和民間的文士、問他們說、基督當生在何處。
5 他們回答說、在猶太的伯利恆．因為有先知記著說、
6 『猶大地的伯利恆阿、你在猶大諸城中、並不是最小的．因為將來有一位君王、要從你那裡出來、牧養我以色列民。』
7 當下希律暗暗的召了博士來、細問那星是甚麼時候出現的。
8 就差他們往伯利恆去、說、你們去仔細尋訪那小孩子．尋到了、就來報信、我也好去拜他。
9 他們聽見王的話、就去了．在東方所看見的那星、忽然在他們前頭行、直行到小孩子的地方、就在上頭停住了。
10 他們看見那星、就大大的歡喜。
11 進了房子、看見小孩子和他母親馬利亞、就俯伏拜那小孩子、揭開寶盒、拿黃金乳香沒藥為禮物獻給他。
12 博士因為在夢中被主指示、不要回去見希律、就從別的路回本地去了。 |

1 In those days a decree went out from Emperor Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This was the first registration and was taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria.
3 All went to their own towns to be registered.
4 Joseph also went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was descended from the house and family of David.
5 He went to be registered with Mary, to whom he was engaged and who was expecting a child.
6 While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child.
7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
8 In that region there were shepherds living in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for see?I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people:
11 to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.
12 This will be a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger."
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,
14 "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors!"
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let us go now to Bethlehem and see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us."
16 So they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the child lying in the manger.
17 When they saw this, they made known what had been told them about this child;
18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them. 19 But Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart.
20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.
路加福音 2 章
1 当那些日子，该撒亚古士督有旨下来，叫天下人民都报名上册。2 这是居里扭作叙利亚巡抚的时候，头一次行报名上册的事。3 众人各归各城，报名上册。4 约瑟也从加利利的拿撒勒城上犹太去，到了大卫的城，名叫伯利恒，因他本是大卫一族一家的人。5 要和他所聘之妻马利亚，一同报名上册。那时马利亚的身孕已经重了。6 他们在那里的时候，马利亚的产期到了。7 就生了头胎的儿子，用布包起来，放在马槽里，因为客店里没有地方。8 在伯利恒之野地里有牧羊人，夜间按着更次看守羊群。9 有主的使者站在他们旁边，主的荣光四面照着他们。牧羊的人就甚惧怕。10 那天使对他们说，不要惧怕，我报给你们大喜的信息，是关乎万民的。11 因今天在大卫的城里，为你们生了救主，就是主基督。12 你们要看见一个婴孩，包着布，卧在马槽里，那就是记号了。13 忽然有一大队天兵，同那天使赞美神说，14 在至高之处荣耀归与神，在地上平安归与他所喜悦的人。（有古卷作喜悦归与人）。15 众天使离开他们升天去了，牧羊的人彼此说，我们往伯利恒去，看看所成的事，就是主所指示我们的。16 他们急忙去了，就寻见马利亚和约瑟，又有那婴孩卧在马槽里。17 既然看见，就把天使论这孩子的话传开了。18 凡听见的，就诧异牧羊人对他们所说的话。19 马利亚却把这一切事存在心里，反复思想。20 牧羊的人回去了，因所听见所看见的一切事，正如天使向他们所说的，就归荣耀与神，赞美他。
