Immediately, while he was still speaking, Judas, one
of the twelve, arrived; and with him there was a crowd
with swords and clubs, from the chief priests, the scribes,
and the elders. 44Now the betrayer had given them a
sign, saying, ‘The one I will kiss is the man; arrest
him and lead him away under guard.’ 45So when he came,
he went up to him at once and said, ‘Rabbi!’ and kissed
him. 46Then they laid hands on him and arrested him.
47But one of those who stood near drew his sword and
struck the slave of the high priest, cutting off his
ear. 48Then Jesus said to them, ‘Have you come out
with swords and clubs to arrest me as though I were
a bandit? 49Day after day I was with you in the temple
teaching, and you did not arrest me. But let the scriptures
be fulfilled.’ 50All of them deserted him and fled.
51
A certain young man was following him, wearing nothing
but a linen cloth. They caught hold of him, 52but he
left the linen cloth and ran off naked.
43 說話之間、忽然那十二個門徒裡的猶大來了、並有許多人帶著刀棒、從祭司長和文士並長老那裡與他同來。44 賣耶穌的人曾給他一個暗號、說、我與誰親嘴、誰就是他．你們把他拿住、牢牢靠靠的帶去。45 猶大來了、隨即到耶穌跟前說、拉比、便與他親嘴。
46 他們就下手拿住他。
47 旁邊站著的人、有一個拔出刀來、將大祭司的僕人砍了一刀、削掉了他一個耳朵。
48 耶穌對他們說、你們帶著刀棒、出來拿我、如同拿強盜麼。
49 我天天教訓人、同你們在殿裡、你們並沒有拿我．但這事成就、為要應驗經上的話。
50 門徒都離開他逃走了。
51 有一個少年人、赤身披著一塊麻布、跟隨耶穌、眾人就捉拿他．
52 他卻丟了麻布、赤身逃走了。 |

While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve,
arrived; with him was a large crowd with swords and
clubs, from the chief priests and the elders of the
people. 48Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying,
‘The one I will kiss is the man; arrest him.’ 49At
once he came up to Jesus and said, ‘Greetings, Rabbi!’
and kissed him. 50Jesus said to him, ‘Friend, do what
you are here to do.’ Then they came and laid hands
on Jesus and arrested him. 51Suddenly, one of those
with Jesus put his hand on his sword, drew it, and struck
the slave of the high priest, cutting off his ear. 52Then
Jesus said to him, ‘Put your sword back into its place;
for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.
53Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and
he will at once send me more than twelve legions of
angels? 54But how then would the scriptures be fulfilled,
which say it must happen in this way?’ 55At that hour
Jesus said to the crowds, ‘Have you come out with swords
and clubs to arrest me as though I were a bandit? Day
after day I sat in the temple teaching, and you did
not arrest me. 56But all this has taken place, so that
the scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled.’ Then
all the disciples deserted him and fled.
47 說話之間、那十二個門徒裡的猶大來了、並有許多人、帶著刀棒、從祭司長和民間的長老那裡、與他同來。
48 那賣耶穌的、給了他們一個暗號、說、我與誰親嘴、誰就是他．你們可以拿住他。
49 猶大隨即到耶穌跟前說、請拉比安．就與他親嘴。
50 耶穌對他說、朋友、你來要作的事、就作罷。於是那些人上前、下手拿住耶穌。
51 有跟隨耶穌的一個人、伸手拔出刀來、將大祭司的僕人砍了一刀、削掉了他一個耳朵。
52 耶穌對他說、收刀入鞘罷．凡動刀的、必死在刀下。
53 你想我不能求我父、現在為我差遣十二營多天使來麼。
54 若是這樣、經上所說、事情必須如此的話、怎麼應驗呢。
55 當時、耶穌對眾人說、你們帶著刀棒、出來拿我、如同拿強盜麼．我天天坐在殿裡教訓人、你們並沒有拿我。56 但這一切的事成就了、為要應驗先知書上的話。當下、門徒都離開他逃走了。 |

While he was still speaking, suddenly a crowd came,
and the one called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading
them. He approached Jesus to kiss him; 48but Jesus said
to him, ‘Judas, is it with a kiss that you are betraying
the Son of Man?’ 49When those who were around him saw
what was coming, they asked, ‘Lord, should we strike
with the sword?’ 50Then one of them struck the slave
of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51But
Jesus said, ‘No more of this!’ And he touched his
ear and healed him. 52Then Jesus said to the chief priests,
the officers of the temple police, and the elders who
had come for him, ‘Have you come out with swords and
clubs as if I were a bandit? 53When I was with you day
after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me.
But this is your hour, and the power of darkness!’
47 說話之間來了許多人、那十二個門徒裡名叫猶大的、走在前頭、就近耶穌、要與他親嘴。
48 耶穌對他說、猶大、你用親嘴的暗號賣人子麼。
49 左右的人見光景不好、就說、主阿、我們拿刀砍可以不可以。
50 內中有一個人、把大祭司的僕人砍了一刀、削掉了他的右耳。
51 耶穌說、到了這個地步、由他們罷．就摸那人的耳朵、把他治好了。
52 耶穌對那些來拿他的祭司長、和守殿官、並長老、說、你們帶著刀捧、出來拿我、如同拿強盜麼。
53 我天天同你們在殿裡、你們不下手拿我．現在卻是你們的時候、黑暗掌權了。 |

1 After Jesus had spoken these words,
he went out with his disciples across the Kidron valley
to a place where there was a garden, which he and his
disciples entered. 2Now Judas, who betrayed him, also
knew the place, because Jesus often met there with his
disciples. 3So Judas brought a detachment of soldiers
together with police from the chief priests and the
Pharisees, and they came there with lanterns and torches
and weapons. 4Then Jesus, knowing all that was to happen
to him, came forward and asked them, ‘For whom are
you looking?’ 5They answered, ‘Jesus of Nazareth.’*
Jesus replied, ‘I am he.’* Judas, who betrayed him,
was standing with them. 6When Jesus* said to them, ‘I
am he’,* they stepped back and fell to the ground.
7Again he asked them, ‘For whom are you looking?’
And they said, ‘Jesus of Nazareth.’* 8Jesus answered,
‘I told you that I am he.* So if you are looking for
me, let these men go.’ 9This was to fulfil the word
that he had spoken, ‘I did not lose a single one of
those whom you gave me.’ 10Then Simon Peter, who had
a sword, drew it, struck the high priest’s slave, and
cut off his right ear. The slave’s name was Malchus.
11Jesus said to Peter, ‘Put your sword back into its
sheath. Am I not to drink the cup that the Father has
given me?’.
約翰福音 18 章 1 耶穌說了這話、就同門徒出去、過了汲淪溪、在那裡有一個園子、他和門徒進去了。
2 賣耶穌的猶大也知道那地方．因為耶穌和門徒屢次上那裡去聚集。
3 猶大領了一隊兵、和祭司長並法利賽人的差役、拿著燈籠、火把、兵器、就來到園裡。
4 耶穌知道將要臨到自己的一切事、就出來、對他們說、你們找誰。
5 他們回答說、找拿撒勒人耶穌。耶穌說、我就是。賣他的猶大也同他們站在那裡。6 耶穌一說我就是、他們就退後倒在地上。
7 他又問他們說、你們找誰。他們說、找拿撒勒人耶穌。
8 耶穌說、我已經告訴你們、我就是．你們若找我、就讓這些人去罷。9 這要應驗耶穌從前的話、說、你所賜給我的人、我沒有失落一個。
10 西門彼得帶著一把刀、就拔出來、將大祭司的僕人砍了一刀、削掉他的右耳．那僕人名叫馬勒古。
